Hull City monitoring Jimmy Briand

17 July 2013 - 13:52

Hull City are currently monitoring French striker Jimmy Briand. The Lyon striket is attracting interest from recently promoted Premier League side Hull City.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The Tigers manager Steve Bruce has landed made one signing this summer in the form of George Boyd, since the club's promotion from the Championship.

Bruce is now keen on signing the 27-year-old Ligue 1 star who made a start to his playing career from Rennes before heading to Lyon where he was a bit-part player last term and the Tigers boss could be tempted to make an offer for the player.

The striker has so far notched up 16 ligue 1 goals over the past three seasons and has won five caps for the French National side.

As the French striker's contract ends in 12 months' time, Lyon would be willing to sell him off instead of losing him on a free next summer.
