Italian side Roma have made a new offer for Ivory Coast international Gervinho. The former Lille player has been told he is surplus to requirements at Arsenal and can leave for around 7.5 million euros.
Since joining Arsenal, Gervinho has struggled to make an impact and club supporters have grown increasingly frustrated with the player. Arsene Wenger too has now decided to play other players in Gervinho's preferred position on the left wing.
With Roma hoping to push through a deal for the Ivorian before the end of August, Roma have now upped their original offer of 4 million Euros to 5.5 million Euros, with hope that Arsenal will look to offland the player quickly so that the Gunners can pursue other transfer targets.
