Stuttgart midfielder courts Atletico Madrid

22 July 2013 - 17:13

Stuttgart midfielder William Kvist has expressed his desire to join La Liga side Atletico Madrid but added that he would be tight lipped if he gets close to the move.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • The Denmark international ,who has 38 international caps to his credit, joined Bundesliga side Stuttgart in 2011 from FC Copenhagen. Kvist initially started out as a right back for the German club but he went onto play regularly as a midfielder later at Stuttgart.

It is not sure if Atletico Madrid have shown any interest in the midfielder but the prospect of playing in one of the most competitive leagues in the world has certainly attracted Kvist's interest.

"Atletico is a great club and every footballer would like to play in La Liga," the Denmark international told Marca.

"Right now I am at Stuttgart, but I don't know what will happen. In case I was close to a move to Atletico, I would not tell anyone."
