Roberto Soldado has become a new target for Tottenham and despite deep interest shown in him by club manager Andre Villas-Boas, the Valencia coach Miroslav Djukic is hopeful of retaining the striker this summer.
Valencia had already declared that any deal for Soldado should be addressed to them by 3rd of August and AVB had admitted earlier on Tuesday that his club is keen on signing the Spanish international. But his current club is determined to convince the striker into staying.
The 28-year-old has an agreement with Valencia that expires in June, 2017.
"I do not think that any team will trigger his [€30 million] buy-out clause. I expect him to stay at Valencia," Djukic told reporters.

"Everybody at the club wants him to stay.

"We have said right from the beginning that any interested teams will have to match his exit clause.

"The only way he can leave the club is if someone meets his clause and he decides to go. That's the danger. For now, he remains a Valencia player, though."
