Gervinho All Set To Move To Roma

29 July 2013 - 19:23

According to reports in the Daily Star, Roma have finally agreed a deal with Arsenal to complete the signing of Gervinho. The Serie A outfit are believed to have offered an improved bid of £7million for the Ivory Coast international.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Earlier it was suggested that the Gunners were not willing to concede to Roma’s initial offer of £6 million but the increased offer seems to have convinced them to sell the forward.

Gervinho moved to the Emirates from Lille in 2011 in a £11m deal but has been a constant disappointment for Arsene Wenger ever since. He could score just 9 goals in the Premier League.

Gervinho is a name well-known to newly appointed Roma coach Rudi Garcia, who knows the player from his time at Lille. He has been looking to reunite with the 26-year-old as he is well aware of his capabilities.
