Lucas Orban rejects Sunderland, joins Bordeaux

30 July 2013 - 08:38

Argentina left-back Lucas Orban will join French club Bordeaux. Sunderland were hopeful that they could sign Tigre's 24-year-old but it appears he will move to France instead.

  • Paolo Di Canio has been busy bringing in new faces this summer but has so far failed to persuade Orban to make the move. The Argentinian will instead join Bordeaux after the French club matched Tigre's reported $2.5 million USD asking price.<br />

The former River Plate starlet had been in talks with Sunderland representatives but opted for a move to Ligue 1 instead.
