Manchester City hand young midfielder Ibrahim free transfer

<strong>Premier League heavyweights Manchester City have handed youngster Abdisalam Ibrahim aa free transfer as new manager Manuel Pellegrini doesn't consider him in his plans for next season.</strong>

  • The 22 year old is on loan at Norwegian side Stromsgodset and has made 26 appearances for them scoring 4 goals. However, he has a clause inserted in his current loan deal whereby he can join a new club if an offer comes his way.<br />

    The young Norway U-23 international is reportedly being monitored by a host of English clubs including West Bromwich, Swansea and Newcastle United.<br />

    Ibrahim told Sky Sports that he is now looking forward to securing a move to the Premier League and test himself against the best.<br />

    "Yes, it's true the club gave me a free transfer last week and my advisors are speaking with clubs at this stage," Ibrahim told Sky Sports.<br />

    "I'm hoping to have my future sorted in the next couple of weeks hopefully by mid August.<br />

    "Stromsgodset have been really good to me and I have developed so much here, but now I would like to test myself at the highest level which is playing in the Premier League week in week out."
