Premier League heavyweights Manchester City have handed youngster Abdisalam Ibrahim aa free transfer as new manager Manuel Pellegrini doesn't consider him in his plans for next season.

  • AC Milan make offer to sign Riccardo Calafiori

  • The 22 year old is on loan at Norwegian side Stromsgodset and has made 26 appearances for them scoring 4 goals. However, he has a clause inserted in his current loan deal whereby he can join a new club if an offer comes his way.

The young Norway U-23 international is reportedly being monitored by a host of English clubs including West Bromwich, Swansea and Newcastle United.

Ibrahim told Sky Sports that he is now looking forward to securing a move to the Premier League and test himself against the best.

"Yes, it's true the club gave me a free transfer last week and my advisors are speaking with clubs at this stage," Ibrahim told Sky Sports.

"I'm hoping to have my future sorted in the next couple of weeks hopefully by mid August.

"Stromsgodset have been really good to me and I have developed so much here, but now I would like to test myself at the highest level which is playing in the Premier League week in week out."
