Schuster worried over Sneijder

Schuster worried over Sneijder

04 November 2007 - 15:25

Real Madrid boss Bernd Schuster has admitted that he is slightly worried over Wesley Sneijder's recent form. Sneijder started the season in superb form, however, of late has failed to live up to early season expectations.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • German coach Schuster is not worried about Sneijder's unconvincing displays.

"It's not really about an injury, he has simply played too many games," the former Getafe manager told a press conference.

"He is a very hard worker and a very technical player. He pressurizes well in midfield. I think it is normal for a new player on a team to have ups and downs."

Sneijder sustained an injury in training and was ruled out of Real's league clash against Sevilla, but Schuster hopes to use him in the midweek Champions League game against Olympiakos.

"I think he will be able to play in the Champions League fixture," Schuster added.
