West Ham want to sign Werder Bremen's 6 foot 4 striker Marko Arnautovic after seeing a bid for Salomon Kalou come off the rails. The Austrian international striker Arnautovic wants to make a transfer to the Premier League and the Hammers have made an initial enquiry for the player.
The former FC Twente striker scored only 5 Bundesliga goals last season but the Hammers are confident he will forge an excellent partnership with Hammers' forward Andy Carroll should he decide to move to Upton Park.<br />
Werder coach Robin Dutt has given the all clear for the forward to pursue a move to another club and set his asking price at an initial 5 million euros.
