Crewe Alexandra have been successful in luring Arsenal’s Chuks Aneke on a six-month loan deal. The League One outfit were in talks with the Emirates officials over the youngster’s loan deal.
The 20-year-old midfielder was in terrific form for Crewe in previous two loan spells. Club president Steve Davis is reportedly a fan of the Arsenal man’s abilities on the pitch.
"The quality, creativity and goalscoring ability he's got was apparent to everybody. He's the creative player that [former captain Luke] Murphy was and we could do with that type." said Davis earlier this week.
The former Under-19 England international has netted 8 goals in 38 appearances for the League One side. Davis expressed his happiness with the new loan deal:
"We know the talent he has and he will be a good addition to the squad”
"I initially saw the ability he had and asked the supporters to have patience with him. They did that and in the end we saw what a huge talent he is."
The president also confirmed the name of midfielder Abdul Osman as the new club captain, who faced competition from Adam Dugdale and Harry Davis.
