Toulouse president Olivier Sadran has revealed that French International Etienne Capoue is on the verge of signing for Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.The talented defensive midfielder notched up 7 goals in 34 appearances for the Ligue 1 side last term, acquiring the attention of many top clubs in the European continent.
Etienne Capoue has been linked with a move to the Premier League since the start of the summer transfer window. Premier League newcomers Cardiff City held talks with Toulouse over a £8.6m move until the deal eventually collapsed.
Arsenal's North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are regarded as favorites to capture the Frenchman's signature after Zadran's comment in an interview on French radio station RMC.
La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are keen on the player, but when Sadran was asked about Capoue's potential switch to White Hart Lane, he told French radio station RMC: "He will go there."Â
