Fulham defender John Arne Riise is set to move away from Craven Cottage after the club agreed that the player could leave on a free transfer. The 32-year-old spent two seasons at the London club making 75 appearances in all competitions.
Reports in Germany suggest that Bundesliga side Werder Bremen are set to sign the Norwegian full-back. <br />
John Arne Riise told Press Association Sport :"Yes, it looks like I will be parting company with Fulham this summer.<br />
"Fortunately there is an agreement for there to be no transfer fee, so let's see what the rest of the transfer window brings."<br />
Werder Bremen's Director of Sport Thomas Eichin also asserted that the Bundesliga outfit are in talks to sign Riise as they look to add more strength to their defensive setup.<br />
He told Germany's Sky television: "I'm talking to lots of agents and we're checking the market.<br />
"Riise is certainly an interesting player and I have always said that we're on the lookout for a left full-back.
"There have been talks, but that doesn't mean anything yet." <br />
