Hull City make Jake Livermore enquiry

11 August 2013 - 09:41

Premier League newcomers Hull City have made an enquiry to Tottenham regarding the availability of Jake Livermore. The impressive young central midfielder will find his opportunities limited at White Hart Lane this year; and manager Andre Villas-Boas is ready to sell the 23-year-old.

  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Hull City are amongst the sides who have so far been frustrated in their efforts to bring in new players in this transfer window, but manager Steve Bruce remains confident that a whole host of new faces will arrive before the transfer window closes at the end of August.

Tottenham have already been in contact with Hull regarding the transfer of Tom Huddlestone, but the burly midfielder has so far indicated that he would prefer to stay in London. Subsequently, the Tigers have now made an approach for Livermore.

The player, who has two years left on his contract at the Lane, would be available on a loan transfer but it is understood Hull would prefer a permanent deal. Livermore is known to favour a loan deal though, as he remains uncertain about the Premier League status of Hull next season. However, Livermore does have plenty of loan experience, having spent six periods away on loan so far in his career.
