Wigan Athletic manager Owen Coyle has reaffirmed that there has been no transfer offer for Republic of Ireland International James McCarthy. The 22-year-old is been closely monitored by Everton-managed by former boss Roberto Martinez.<br /><br />Coyle has said that he would not come into McCarthy's way should a top side with Champions League prospects make an offer for the midfielder.
After the Community Shield defeat against Manchester United, He told reporters : "There will always be speculation about good players but that's exactly what it is, speculation.<br />
"I'm quite comfortable in telling you I've not had any enquiries or offers. If I did I would be the first to tell you.<br /><br />"We've got good players. I wouldn't be surprised if there was interest but at the moment there's nothing to talk about."
