Southampton are considered as favourites in the race to sign AS Roma forward Pablo Daniel Osvaldo, as per Sky Sports.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a switch away from the Serie A outfit since the start of the summer transfer window, with North London clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur also believed to be monitoring the player's situation.<br />
However, Sky Sports suggests that the Saints are in pole position to land the Italian International, who scored 16 goals for the Giallorossi. <br /><br />Atletico Madrid, Wolfsburg and Benfica have also been credited with interest in Pablo Osvaldo in recent weeks.
