Swindon Town complete the signing of former Newcastle striker Nile Ranger

17 August 2013 - 00:29

League One outfit Swindown Town have completed the signing of former Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger on a one-year deal.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The 22-year-old has been a free-agent since his release by the Magpies way back in March and will provide Robins chairman Jed McCrory the additional thrust to push the club towards promotion to the Championship.

Nile Ranger had a poor spell at the St.James Park as he netted just three times in 62 appearances. He could extend his contract at the Robins by an additional 12 months if the club is willing to in the future.

The former England youth international is currently on bail after being charged with rape in July this year.
