  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • Postiga comes as a replacement for Roberto Soldado, who departed Valencia two weeks ago to join Andre Villas Boas' Tottenham Hotspurs for £26m.

The Portugal striker scored 14 goals in 37 La Liga games last season as Real Zaragoza battled unsuccessfuly against relegation.

Valencia boss Miroslav Djukic is in the market for another striker to bolster a depleted front line, with Spain U20 striker Paco Alcacer sidelined with injury, and Brazilian Jonas the only other recognised center forward.
