Ian Holloway targeting Spurs' youngster Townsend

21 August 2013 - 17:32

Crystal Palace boss is still in the market for more players to strengthen his newly promoted side, with Tottenham Hotspurs' young winger Andros Townsend thought to be his target.

  • Chelsea urged to sign Man City star on free transfer
  • Chelsea squad want Xabi Alonso as manager
  • Townsend was an unused substitute in Tottenham's season opener against Palace, which Spurs won 1-0 thanks to a controversial penalty converted by record signing Roberto Soldado.<br />

Townsend can play on either wing, and though he's part of the senior set up at Spurs, he's set for a season on the bench as he's very low in the pecking order. He impressed on loan last season at QPR, with 4 goals in 12 appearances.
