West Brom are confident that a deal can be wrapped up that will see midfielder Scott Sinclair join their club before the end of the transfer deadline. The Man City player has been told he has no future at the Etihad Stadium.
According to reports, Southampton were amongst the teams interested in Sinclair but West Brom are now in pole position to secure his signing.
WBA have been locked in talks with City for over a month regarding a potential move for the player, but the deal hit a hiccup last week after WBA changed their mind on a permanent move, instead preferring to sign Sinclair on loan for the season.
