Everton manager Roberto Martinez has sent a scout to monitor FC Nantes' striker Filip Djordevic in action. The 25-year-old Serbian international has been with the French club since 2008.
According to reports from France, Djordevic is amongst the players that Everton's manager Martinez is considering a move for before the transfer window closes on September the 2nd. The 6 foot 1 striker has been recommended by club scouts but it is understood a transfer for the Serb will only depend on the long term future of Croatian forward Nikica Jelavic. Jelavic has been linked with a move to the Bundesliga in recent weeks.
Djordevic's impressive recent form in Ligue 1 has seen him earn his first call up to Serbia's national team, in a game against Chile in November 2012. Since then Djordevic has gone on to  be a regular member of Serbia's squad for international games and is hopeful that he will be an important part of the country's squad for the World Cup qualifiers if he makes a move to the Premier League.
