Swansea City defender Neil Taylor ruled out of action until October

28 August 2013 - 12:23

Swansea City left-back Neil Taylor is expected to spend four to six weeks on the sidelines due to a thigh injury.

  • Chelsea ready to pay £87m for Spanish striker?
  • Chelsea want to sign Nuno Tavares?

  • The talented Welsh International was subbed out during the Swans' 5-1 victory over Petrolul Ploiesti last week in the first leg of the Europa League play-offs.

The Welsh club have revealed that Taylor would be unable to resume his duties with the Premier League side until October.

A club statement read: "Swans defender Neil Taylor has been ruled out for four to six weeks due to a haematoma (severe bruising and swelling) on his thigh."

The 24-year-old has made 76 appearances for the Swans since his switch from Conference Premier side Wrexham in 2010.
