AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has confirmed the Serie A side are still in the lookout for a new striker this summer as a cover for the indefinitely injured Giampaolo Pazzini.

  • Chelsea & Arsenal handed blow in Bundesliga striker pursuit

  • Milan have been rumored to be interested in Juventus striker Alessandro Matri, who is currently out of favor at the Stade delle Alpi following arrivals of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente this summer. However, Galliani refused to take names of any striker they are particularly interested in.

He said: "We can only take one player more and our coach wants cover for Giampaolo Pazzini because we don't know when he will return from injury.

"In defence and midfield we are okay. Matri? I mention no names, but we seek a striker."

The Milan supremo ruled out a move for Japan international Keisuke Honda this summer and has confirmed that the club would sign him once his current contract with CSKA Moscow expires next year.

e said: "Any more contact for Keisuke Honda? No more, we will wait for January.

"Adem Ljajic to Roma? We don't mind, we'll find someone else."
