Finnish forward Joel Pohjanpalo is being monitored by Stoke City. Mark Hughes is desperate to tie up a deal for the HJK Helsinki forward before the transfer window closes.
The 18-year-old striker is arguably Finland's best prospect since Jari Litmanen and has already played twice for his national team. In 2011 the youngster made his debut aged 16 for HJK Helsinki and has since continued to impress many scouts from all over Europe.<br />
Liverpool were very close to agreeing a transfer for Pohjanpalo last summer, but a deal fell through at the last minute due to the player's request for regular playing time at Anfield.<br />
Stoke City have reportedly offered Pohjanpalo regular first team action if he makes the move to the Britannia Stadium.
