Mamadou Sakho reveals his pride at joining Liverpool

Liverpool's newly signed centre-back Mamadou Sakho has revealed that he feels "proud" to have joined the Merseyside club from French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain during the summer transfer window.

Sakho has insisted that he doesnot regret having left his hometown club and he was eager to start off his career at Anfield.

  • Sako told L'Equipe : "I achieved beautiful things at Paris that I am very proud of, so I can leave raising my head high.



    "Since the start of my career, my first desire has been to go on improving and reach the objectives I set.



    "My career dictated me that choice. I move on without regret. Today I am joining a great club with fantastic fans. I am very proud to have signed at Liverpool."
