Arsenal's Tomas Rosicky suffers an injury on International duty with Czech Republic

Czech Republic captain Tomas Rosicky was forced to leave the field before the half-time break during his side's encounter against Italy with a suspected muscle problem.

The Arsenal midfielder was replaced by Daniel Kolar for their World Cup Group C qualifier against the Azzurri at the Juventus Stadium in Turin.

The injury to the talented midfielder came as a major blow for the visitors as Rosicky was considered the main man in midfield.

  • Czech Republic lost the match having had a 1-0 lead at the half time interval, eventually by a scoreline of 1-2.The results therefore qualifies Italy for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.



    Rosicky will undergo medical tests over the next few days to determine the extent of the injury.
