Mesut Ozil set to start for Arsenal against Sunderland

12 September 2013 - 13:58

Arsenal's club record signing Mesut Ozil is expected to be thrown into the starting line-up for the Gunners' Premier League clash this weekend against Sunderland.

  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The German International playmaker joined the North London club from La Liga giants Real Madrid on transfer deadline day for a club record fee of  £42.5m.

Reports have suggested that the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will hand Mesut Ozil his full debut against the Black Cats at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, as Tomas Rosicky is set to be ruled out of action due to a thigh injury he sustained on International duty with the Czech Republic.

Arsenal's forlorn striker Nicklas Bendtner could be set for a return to the squad this weekend, due to the injury crisis within the team.
