George Graham :' Arsenal unlikely to challenge for the Premier League title'

13 September 2013 - 13:28

Former Arsenal manager George Graham does not regard the current Gunners squad strong enough to challenge for the Premier League title this season.

  • Barcelona have genuine interest in Chelsea forward
  • Man Utd handed boost in signing West Ham star?
  • Though the Gunners completed the capture of Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid for a club record fee of 42.5m, their failure to bring in a centre forward to the Emirates this summer could denounce them from being title contenders.<br /><br />Graham told talkSPORT :<em>"I'm surprised Arsenal didn't get a couple more players in, especially a top-class striker with the money they supposedly had to spend in the summer.<br /><br />"They needed a centre-forward. If you are going to win it [the title] you need a centre-forward that is going to get you 20 league goals, not 20 cup goals."</em><br /><br />The Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly set to hand Ozil his full debut against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
