Tottenham's out of favour striker Emmanuel Adebayor has demanded a reported £1m pay off to leave the club after being put in the reserve team squad by manager Andre Villas-Boas.
Adebayor almost completed a deal to Turkish side Besiktas this summer but at the last minute the Togo international changed his mind.
Tottenham are now considering breaking the player's contract and letting him leave on a free transfer but Adebayor has told club executives that he expects a £1m pay off to leave White Hart Lane.
Spurs will be hoping that other clubs come in for the striker in January as it emerged that German side Eintracht Frankfurt and Turkish side Gazientepspor are also monitoring the forward.
