Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has admitted that the club's star forward Michu could leave the Liberty Stadium next season.

  • The talented Spaniard was linked with a move to Arsenal earlier in the summer, but decided to stay put with the Welsh club for another season, having scored an impressive 18 goals for the Swans in all competitions last term.

However, Laudrup has admitted that he is unsure as to whether the 27-year-old will stay with the Swans beyond the current campaign.

Laudrup told FourFourTwo.com: "[Michu] wanted to stay after his first season because he wanted to take part in the second year with Europe and everything.

"What happens in the future? I don't know, but I think it's so important what the player wants and I don't think Michu had any doubts whatsoever that he wanted to stay here this season, but then what happens next year no one knows."

Michu has so far scored five goals for Swansea City in all competitions this season.
