Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to do battle with Juventus to secure the signing of Swiss international defender Fabian Schar. The highly rated centre back has attracted the attention of several European sides.

A number of impressive displays for his club side, Basel, as well as the national team has attracted the scouts of Arsenal, who have reportedly already made an enquiry for the 21-year-old.<br />

Schar has interested many sides with a number of impressive displays, and for a centre back hte player has been incredibly prolific in front of goal. Playing just three times for his country, the defender has already grabbed 2 goals, whilst on a domestic level he has scored 6 goals in 28 games.<br />

Basel are already expecting bids from the likes of Juventus and the defender is valued at approximately 5 million Euros.
