Newcastle United agree permanent deal for Loic Remy

24 September 2013 - 13:09

Newcastle United have reportedly agreed to buy French striker Loic Remy from Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Loic Remy has an a clause in his contract which would allow the Magpies an option to sign the talented Frenchman on a permanent basis.

Remy has been prolific since his loan switch to the Tyneside this season, having scored twice in Newcastle's 3-2 defeat to Hull City Tigers last weekend.

According to the Journal, Newcastle have shown interest in keeping the French striker at St.James Park beyond the current season and have negotiated a pre-agreed transfer fee with Queens Park Rangers.

However, the move will only go through if Remy decides on staying put with the Magpies at the end of the season.
