Robert Lewandowski to join Bayern Munich

Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has officially confirmed that he will be joining Bayern Munich. The Polish international is out of contract at the Signal Iduna Park next summer and will then move to the Bavarian side.

  • It is understood that Lewandowski had planned to open talks with other teams regarding his future during January, but Lewandowski has now confirmed that he already will make a move to Bayern Munich on a free transfer.


    Lewandowski had hoped to make a permanent transfer to Bayern this summer just passed, but no deal came to fruition.


    When asked if he would be joining Bayern this summer, the 25-year-old confirmed an upcoming move: "Yes, because then I can officially sign the contract."
