Portsmouth's Nigerian strikers Nwankwo Kanu and John Utaka are set to miss the friendly match with Australia through injury. The two players were set to link up with the squad for the match in London.
Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp insisted that Kanu, who has a hamstring injury, and Utaka, who has a groin strain, will remain with the Premier League club and have treatment for the next two weeks.
"Kanu has got a hamstring and Utaka has got a groin strain, so they won't go away this week," he told Sky Sports. "They will stay here for the next two weeks and have treatment.
"They are supposed to be playing for Nigeria but there is no chance of them leaving here now. They are here and hopefully will have a chance of being fit for our next game."
