Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has praised his players for their excellent display against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.

  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The Gunners scored twice in a space of four minutes in the second half as they registered a 2-1 away win over The Swans at the Liberty Stadium.

The Frenchman told Sky Sports: "There is nothing better than winning. The first half was quite difficult, we were slow in our combinations and Swansea were sharper than us.

"It was a question of being patient without making mistakes. Afterwards, we were much stronger and playing at our level. We took advantage of the chances we have created.

"We have substance in the team and we could see that today in the second half. We came out with purpose in our game and that was important."

Arsenal are currently placed at the top of the League table with 15 points, having won their last five games.
