Manchester United are set to table a bid for out-of-favour Barcelona midfielder Alex Song when the transfer window re-opens in January, as per reports emerging out of Spain.

Alex Song made his switch to the Catalan outfit from Arsenal last summer, and had a decent first season in Spain.<br />

Since the arrival of new manager Gerardo Martino, the 26-year-old Cameroonian International has failed to cement his place in Barca's starting line-up.<br />

Reports suggest that the former Arsenal midfielder could be set to hand in a transfer request soon, with the Red Devils keeping track on his situation with the La Liga outfit.
