Man Utd manager Moyes won't spend big in January

05 October 2013 - 07:54

Manchester United's manager David Moyes has no plans to spend big money in the January transfer window, even if the club's squad are a bit short. Despite signing Marouane Fellaini in the summer, club supporters are furious that Moyes has yet to bring in more big names.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • United have so far slipped down the Premier League table this year and United are under pressure to find new players in the January transfer window. However, Moyes has told reporters that he is not necessarily going to spend: "I'll look at January but I wouldn't want people to have big expectations of what we would sign or do.

"In the main, January has not been a great month to sign at the top level.

"If you're in trouble near the bottom you might as you're desperate for something but we'll be looking for the top players."
