Rafael rules out Man Utd exit

08 October 2013 - 06:26

Manchester United defender Rafael will not be returning to his homeland despite talk of a transfer to Corinthians. The Brazilian full back is still considered a first team regular at Old Trafford.

  • Confirmed Liverpool line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Gravenberch starts
  • We believe: Amad Diallo reacts after Man Utd's 2-2 draw at Forest

  • Rafael has been persistently linked with a transfer to Corinthians, but the player has now told reporters that he will be staying put for the time being.

"I am not thinking about leaving Manchester United, especially since I did well last season," Rafael told Lancenet

"There is no reason to leave now, I am playing here, I am a starter and I don't intend to return to Brazil."
