Arsenal set to sign Bristol Rovers goalkeeper Matt Macey

11 October 2013 - 14:02

Arsenal are poised to capture the signature of highly-rated goalkeeper Matt Macey from Bristol Rovers, as per Sky Sports.

  • Chelsea set to sign midfielder after Danny Welbeck
  • Chelsea confirm striker transfer on two-year deal
  • The Pirates had confirmed last month that the club were in talks with Premier League clubs in Arsenal and Everton over a possible move for the talented goalkeeper.

The 18-year-old had an impressive trial with the Gunners in September, and this has tempted manager Arsene Wenger in offering Macey a switch to the Emirates.

With Bristol Rovers manager John Ward resigned to losing one of the club's youth talents, Wenger would consider the player as a future prospect for the Gunners.

Macey is expected to sign a three-year deal with the North London outfit.
