Tottenham winger Andros Townsend will sign a new contract at White Hart Lane after he returns from international duty with England. The 22-year-old's agent has agreed a deal in principle with club management and will sign a new five year contract.
Townsend had the dream debut for England last week as the youngster scored a goal on his debut and made another in a glowing performance in a 4-1 rout of Montenegro. This season Andre Villas-Boas, the Tottenham manager, has made Townsend one of the first names on his team sheet as the talented left winger starts to repay the faith shown in him by Spurs.
The England international will sign a brand new contract on Wednesday evening that will put him on par with the rest of Tottenham's senior squad members and will also stave off the interest of several other Premier League teams who have been monitoring the youngster's contract situation.
