Newcastle United are reportedly keen on acquiring the signature of Swedish International Ola Toivonen from PSV Eindhoven during the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old's current contract with the Eredivisie outfit is set to expire in the summer and he recently rebuffed a contract extension with the club.
According to The Mirror, Magpies manager Alan Pardew is interested in adding more options to his attacking department and is considering to make a bid for the talented forward.<br /><br />PSV could sell Toivonen for a transfer fee in the region of £2.5m , rather than loss him on a free at the end of the current campaign.
