Marc-Andre ter Stegen not heading to Barcelona

30 October 2013 - 16:08

German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is not being lined up as Victor Valdes' replacement at Barcelona, despite talk of an imminent move to the Spanish side. The Monchengladbach keeper is one of Europe's most highly rated young players.

  • Arsenal make surprise decision on Viktor Gyokeres
  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • There were some reports that the Camp Nou side had already agreed a fee with the player's club, but this has been swiftly rejected by the Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl. Of ter Stegen's reported move to Barca, he said: “We have not been approached by any club. It is a fact. We are in contract talks, and we are optimistic that Marc will continue to play for us beyond this season since the talks have been very positive so far.”
