Tottenham Hotspur look set to make a new attempt to sign Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao during the January transfer window.
Reports in England suggest that the North London outfit could be willing to sign the Portuguese defender on a temporary deal with first-choice Danny Rose out injured.
Coentrao, who was denied a loan switch to the Red Devils during the summer, revealed that he was reduced to tears having heard that the deal brokedown.
The 25-year-old, who has made just four appearances for Los Blancos this season, is expected to be keen on having more first team action, should Portugal overcome Sweden in the World Cup qualifying play-off, in an attempt to secure his berth in the national team.
