Blackburn Rovers managing director Derek Shaw has insisted that the club are not in any pressure to sell their star striker during the winter transfer window.
The speculation came about after the club recorded losses worth �36.5m in the 2012/13 season, and it has been suggested that the Championship outfit would sell some of their star players to cut the debts.<br /><br />Jordan Rhodes has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs since the summer and is likely to be the subject of intense speculation during the New Year.<br /><br />"There has been no discussion about selling players - absolutely no discussions at all." Shaw said. "There may be clubs out there who fancy some of our players. But we are not attempting to sell our first team players, and that is on the instruction of the owners."
