Aitor Karanka favourite to become new Crystal Palace manager

09 November 2013 - 12:09

Crystal Palace are reportedly closing in on the appointment of former Real Madrid assistant Aitor Karanka as their new manager.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The 40-year-old Spaniard who worked under former Los Blancos manager Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu, held talks with the Eagles co-chairman Steve Parish last week, and is expected to hold further discussions with the South London outfit in the next few days.

The Guardian reports that Karanka is considered the number one choice to manage the Premier League strugglers, in spite of his lack of managerial experience.
