Manchester United monitoring Andres Iniesta

Manchester United monitoring Andres Iniesta

14 November 2013 - 10:00

Premier League champions Manchester United are monitoring Barcelona's star midfielder Andres Iniesta, with a view of making a January bid for the player.

  • Chelsea set £35m price to sell 20-goal striker
  • Arsenal considered favourites to sign Leipzig striker

  • Manager David Moyes is keen on strengthening his midfield department during the New Year, having seen the club have a below par start to the Premier League campaign.

The Daily Mail reports that the talented Spaniard is angry, following the departure of physio Emili Ricart, who helped him recover from injury, since breaking through the club's ranks.

The developments made in the backroom under manager Gerardo Martino could well tempt Iniesta in making a switch to the Premier League with Manchester United during the New Year.
