Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea are on red alert after hearing news that contract talks between striker Saido Berahino and his current club West Bromwich Albion have broken down.

The talented 20-year-old, whose contract is set to expire in the summer, has made a lasting impression since forcing his way into WBA's first team and a number of Premier League teams have taken note. Both Arsenal and Chelsea have reportedly begun their pursuit of the talented player, with Chelsea believed to be the favourites for his signature.<br />

Berahino has just six months left on his current deal after the player rejected the offer of &pound;7500 per week to sign a new deal. One of the Premier League's hottest properties is now happy to wait out his current deal for which he only earns a reported &pound;850 per week.
