Sunderland and Aston Villa are reportedly keen on signing Danilo D'Ambrosio from Italian outfit Torino during the winter transfer window.
The 25-year-old full-back is set to leave the Serie A outfit next summer, having refused to sign a new deal at the club, and has been associated with a switch to a number of top clubs, including Italian giants Juventus and Napoli.
D'Ambrosio's agent Vincenzon Pisacane gave an opinion on his client's status.
"I've read in the newspapers that we are working on his renewal, indeed that we are on the right road for that," He said. "However, that is not right. "A move to Napoli? I can't exclude the possibility that Torino and Napoli have discussed a transfer because the agent is always the last to know."Â
Torino are expected to allow the sale of D'Ambrosio during the New Year, rather than lose him on a free come next summer.
