Everton considering move for Diogo Viana

20 November 2013 - 07:53

Everton manager Roberto Martinez wants to sign Portuguese winger Diogo Viana in the January transfer window. The player, who is currently at Gil Vicente, has attracted the interest of several top European sides but the Toffees are confident they will win his coveted signature.

  • Chelsea want to sign Roggerio Nyakossi
  • Arsenal midfielder returns from Spain duty with injury
  • The 23-year-old has also been contacted by his former club Porto, who have shown some interest in the player. However, Everton are ready to bid around 5 million Euros to sign the talented 5 foot 8 winger.<br />

Viana has previously played for Portugal's under 21 side and is hopeful that a transfer to a major European club in January will improve his chances of making his country's squad for the World Cup next year in Brazil.
