Sergio Aguero rules out Manchester City transfer exit

Sergio Aguero rules out Manchester City transfer exit

23 November 2013 - 11:58

Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero has laughed off talk of a return to La Liga or to his homeland Argentina. The forward, who joined from Atletico Madrid in 2011, has insisted that his long term future will be at City.

  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?
  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • Juventus were amongst the teams strongly linked with a January transfer window move for Aguero, but the striker has now told reporters that he is happy to stay at the Citizens. There had been some concern that the forward had grown unhappy with life in England, but comments from Aguero today appear to suggest the contrary: "The truth is that I’m happy. The club treats me very well. It’s very calm – it’s different to being in Spain or Argentina.

"The only thing I do is enjoy football, rest, be at home and go out to walk around or eat in peace. You are always improving. English football, for example, being so fast, it allows you to develop your concentration and refine your technique."

Aguero has three years left on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium.
