Napoli plot January bid for Daniel Agger

Napoli plot January bid for Daniel Agger

24 November 2013 - 04:14

Serie A giants Napoli are reportedly keen on acquiring the signing of Danish defender Daniel Agger from Liverpool, during the winter transfer window.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
 • The Daily Star reports that Napoli manager Rafael Benitez could plot a January transfer bid for the talented centre-back, and are prepared to offer the player an extra £180,000 in his wage structure, if the club were to succeed in acquiring his services.
Benitez has been a huge fan of the Dane, with the two working together during Benitez's managerial reign at Liverpool, and their close association could tempt Agger in making the move come the January transfer window.
Agger has made 217 appearances for the Reds since his move from Brondby in 2006.
